What you think is who you are

Where ever you are right now, your thoughts has a relationship with your present situation.
What you think of has a way of making you.

Some great men and women who identified the principle of "you are what you think" and applied it in their lives never regretted it.

you are what you think

Some Quotes About Man's Thought

"What a man thinks about controls his life." - Pastor E.A Adeboye
"You are today where your thoughts have brought you, you will be tomorrow where your thoughts takes you"- James Allen

"Every thought is a seed, if you plant crab apples don't count on harvesting golden delicious" - Anonymous

"Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts." - Soren Kierkegaard

"Man's greatness lies in his power of thought." - Blaise Pascal

God is interested in our thoughts. God wants us to think right.

"For as he thinks, so he is." - Proverbs 23:7

Be careful how you think. Be careful of what you think of. Your life is shaped by your thoughts.

Some people only think of negative things. They never think anything good of themselves.

Some Christians don't think of productive things  They think of porn, sex, immoral acts. God doesn't want that for anyone especially when you have received Jesus.

As a Christian  your thoughts should always be clean, holy and acceptable.

Dale Carnegie said "Everything is created twice. First in the mind and then in reality."

If your thoughts are positive or negative, the reality will soon dawn on you.

YOUR THOUGHTS AND YOUR CONFESSION

"...For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." - Matthew 12:34

Did I hear you ask why?

When your heart/mind is filled up with a particular thought, it is natural for you to want to say it out because you can't help it. It's too much for you to carry. So you spill it.

Your confessions are what influences your life. You are what you say you are.

Stop saying 'I can't', 'It's impossible ', 'I'm not good enough'. Use your mouth to direct your life.

Remember, the power of life and death lies in the tongue.

The Bible made it clear  that with the words of our mouth, God will justify or condemn us.

Question

Can I change my life by changing my thoughts?

Answer

Yes. By changing your thoughts you can change your circumstances either for good or bad.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT YOURSELF?

Some people are in the habit of putting themselves down by thinking lowly of themselves.

If you are one of these people, you really need to change if you want to move forward.

God created you in greatness. You are created to do amazing things. Stop looking at the imperfection of now.

what you think matters

Identify those negative thoughts and limiting beliefs. Take actions to change the belief.

Do not let your friends/colleagues intimidate you with their achievements. You too can work hard to get there. Remember it starts from the mind.

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY THOUGHTS?

"Keep thy heart with all diligence  for out of it are the issues of life." - Proverbs 6:23
Your heart/mind can never be empty, it's either it's full of good or bad.
If your thoughts are negative, you need to discard them and fill them up with something more reasonable.
"DO not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind...." - Romans 12:2

Read books that help you understand that you can do it. Read books that reveal who you truly are.

The best book(it's more than a book) I can recommend is the Bible.

It contains God's words about you and everything concerning you.

It will reveal your true identity by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Any other book will be complementary. Read books of men and women that have "succeeded" on the surface of the earth.

Read successful people stories because success leaves clues.

"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success." - Joshua 1:8

As described above, don't just read these books. meditate on them;let them sink into your subconscious.

Act upon those words, let it be a part of you. Then you will have "good success"

THOUGHTS lead to FEELINGS and your FEELINGS lead to Action.

ACTION gives us the RESULT. take a looks at the result.

What do you see in your life? If you don't like it, you need to first change your thoughts.

"Tomorrow reality begins with today thought."

WATCH THOSE THOUGHTS!!

Hi Ologundudu,

It's good to be over at your wonderful blog too :)

Ah...I see that you love quotes, something which I cannot live without either, and all of these are awesome ones - some known and some unknown.

I agree with you - our thoughts have the power to change and transform us, and what we think is what we become too. That's why they say - it's ALL in the mind, isn't it?

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead :)

Hi, Ologundudu,
It is a great post. It is very true what we think it become reality for us. Some times people became negative about themselves and start demoralizing , this is very bad and works as devil for us. If a man thing he is a looser, he never become a winner. Thank You for your great post. :)

Hi Ologundudu,

I can't just dispute any of this saying, life is too short, and living a life worth living start from within, the inner mind determines what we are. No one has ever gone beyond what s/he knows and it's indeed what you think , is what you are. Thumb up.

Hi, Kumar,

That's true. Our thoughts are powerful influence on our confidence and self esteem. Whether you think you can or you can't, you are right anyway.
Thanks for the comment. :)

Hi Ade.

You are right about that one. "No one grows beyond his/her knowledge". Your level of knowledge determines how far you go. The scriptures says "my people perish because they have rejected knowledge"
