Since i watched Chimamanda Adichie's TED talk on The dangers of the Single Story, I've become more conscious of various stereotypes in the society. I hate stereotypes and this is why i started My Single Story Project. The problem with stereotypes is that they are incomplete. Therefore, robbing you of your dignity.
I know when it comes to stereotypes, Africa has always been a victim. I can't speak for other parts of the world, but i know well of Africa. Do you know some people still refer to Africa as a 'Country'?

I once read that the greatest harm comes from the best intention. Well, this is one thing most charity organizations are doing to Africa.
They kind of exploit and promote the imagery of a suffering Africa. Which is not totally true.
I think the way fundraising campaigns are communicating issues of poverty and development has some flaws.
I'm glad another charity has observed this and have decided to make a change. Please watch the video and share
